Lawmakers Talk About Raising Minimum Wage

HARRISBURG – Two PA lawmakers are talking about raising the state’s minimum wage from $7.25 to $12hr. According to WGAL.com, there are 2 parts to this bill, one being raising min wage to $12hr and the other is giving raise to anyone who works for tips. Right now, the base wage for Tip workers is $2.38 and has not changed in 23 yrs. Montgomery Co. Sen Daylin Leach and Phila Sen Mike Stack are both sponsoring the bill that is still being debated at the state Capitol.
