History Day Camp at Historic Joanna Furnace

June 23, 2014 – June 27, 2014 all-day

June 23-27  /  Historic Joanna Furnace, PO Box 36, Geigertown, PA 1952

Your child will explore early American home and village industry crafts. This one of a kind summer camp brings America’s rich history to life as campers will experience “hands-on” crafts and fun activities. This year Joanna’s Teamster campers ( ages 7—11) will learn candle dipping, felting, simple food preparation, and plaster casting. The older Ironmaster Assistants group (ages 12–+) will learn to forge a hook in the blacksmith shop, carve a simple whistle, practice drop spinning and button making, and 3-D plaster casting.
