Studies show 8 of 10 Americans consider suicide at some point, suffering in silence, and alone. Communities can make suicide less likely. Samaritan Counseling Center of Lancaster is holding a presentation and workshop, geared toward persons in ministry and faith community leaders, that will focus on suicide awareness, eliminating the stigma around suicide, and helping workshop participants create specific suicide prevention activities that can be implemented immediately. Clergy continuing education units credit available. Free presentation May 6 from 7am – 9pm. Paid workshop May 7 from 9 am – 4 pm. Registration forms: http://scclanc.org/event/lifetalk/.
