Budget Signing Reaction from House Majority Leader

(HARRISBURG) – The governor put his signature on the 29.1 billion dollar state budget yesterday, but not without line-item vetoing a handful of appropriations. House Majority Leader Mike Turzai is disappointed by the governor’s response to the on-time and balanced budget plan produced by lawmakers and called for a renewed focus on finding legislative solutions to the critical issues now facing the commonwealth. Turzai said the governor’s actions seem to be about politics and not the “hard work of governing.”
