Court Orders Paterno Name Off PA Ballot

HARRISBURG (AP) – Commonwealth Court granted Jay Paterno’s request to remove his name from the May 20 Democratic Party primary ballot for lieutenant governor. The son of the late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno dropped out of the race Friday and requested the court order because he didn’t withdraw until after the deadline for doing so. Still in the race for the Democratic nomination are former Congressman Mark Critz of Johnstown, state Sen. Michael Stack of Philadelphia, state Rep. Brandon Neuman of Washington County, Bradford County Commissioner Mark Smith, and Harrisburg City Councilman Brad Koplinski.
