Fatal Crash On Interstate 81

SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP –One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 81 Tuesday night. State Police say 23-year-old Aaron King of Carlisle was driving northbound in the southbound lanes in Silver Spring Township when it collided head-on with a tractor trailer. Police say the tractor trailer, driven by 54-year-old Stepan Foksha of Charlotte, North Carolina, tried to steer out of the path of King’s car, and sideswiped another car driven by 44-year-old David Raphael of Carlisle. No one was hurt in Raphael’s car as it came to rest in the median. The rig collided head-on with King’s car. King was pronounced dead at the scene. Foksha was treated for a leg injury. Police do not know why King was traveling in the wrong direction. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 717-249-2121.
