MD Continues To Work On Revamping Troubled Health Care

ANNAPOLIS, MD (AP) – A federal official says Maryland has successfully completed 17 of 21 milestones to revamp the state’s troubled health care marketplace with technology from Connecticut.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner says the state plans to complete the remaining milestones in coming weeks. The state is working to have the system in place in time for the 2015 open enrollment period. She also notes that the state will not need additional Affordable Care Act grant funds to make the transition.
