The York Rescue Mission along with our friends; Lancaster Water Street Ministries, Dauphin Bethesda Rescue Mission and Lebanon Rescue Mission are planning our Annual Rescue Mission Food Drive (RMFD) through Dec 20. You can help by shopping for the Mission. All food collected in York County stays in York County. Pumpkin Carving Contest

Community House, 264 W Market st, Marietta, PA 17547

Susquehanna Stage Company in Marietta is sponsoring a community pumpkin carving contest open to all ages and contestants may enter as many pumpkins as they wish. Entry fee for each pumpkin is $5. Pumpkins can be carved, painted or decorated and will be displayed on the front porch of the Community House. Candles will be provided for pumpkins which can be lit and  delivered to the Community House between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on Trick-or-Treat Night. Community members can vote for their favorite pumpkin by casting a $1 vote. Voting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. and winners will be announced at 8:30 p.m. Ccommunity members treated with ice cream, candy bars, ice tea and water beginning at 7:30 p.m. FMI: 426-1277.

2014 Petra Fall Fest

Join us for carnival games, hay rides, inflatables, bonfires, crafts, lots of food, and more. Everyone is welcome, and everything is free. The rain date is Novr 1 from 3 to 7 pm.

14th Annual Halloween Alternative @ Forest Hills Church

Geared for children through 6th grade. This is not a costume event. The evening will feature a bounce house, a cardboard box maze, carnival-style games, wagon rides, homemade soft pretzels, and each child will be given a bag of treats to take home.
