Sunday Afternoon Lancaster County Fires

LANCASTER COUNTY – Crews battled two Sunday afternoon fires in Lancaster County. Units responded to a barn fire in the 500 block of Pennsy Road in Providence Township around 5 p.m. The 20X40 foot barn was fully involved when firefighters arrived. The cause was accidental by embers from nearby burning brush. No one was hurt. Units also responded to an apartment fire in Manheim Township. It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Coventry Road. A caller reported the roof was on fire. No injuries were reported and there’s no word on the cause.
