PEQUEA TOWNSHIP – An autopsy is planned today on the body of a man found dead in a Lancaster County field. Authorities say the body of a 48-year-old Lancaster man was discovered by a passer-by on Saturday around 7 a.m. in a field in the 2100 block of New Danville Pike between Long Lane and Stoney Lane in Pequea Township. Officers found no obvious signs of trauma and believe the man was transported in a vehicle to the location where he was found. The victim’s identity has not been released. Investigators are seeking information on any vehicles or persons seen in the area on Friday night or Saturday morning. Anyone with information should call the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office at 717-299-8100. Tips can also be submitted anonymously at slcrpd.org.
